  • Offer a listening ear and encouragement to promote positive morale and continued engagement.

  • Monitor recruitment rounds for adherence to Panhellenic guidelines, both for PNMs and sororities, ensuring a fair and respectful recruitment process.

  • Mediate any conflicts or misunderstandings, working with the Director of Rho Gammas as needed to resolve issues promptly and maintain integrity.

  • Offer guidance on how to stay involved in campus life and navigate the next steps after recruitment.

Summary: A Recruitment Guide (Rho Gamma) is a disaffiliated sorority member who supports Potential New Members (PNMs) during formal recruitment by providing unbiased guidance, logistical assistance, and emotional support. Through pre-recruitment training and active involvement in each recruitment round, Rho Gammas ensure PNMs understand the process, help them navigate their choices, and enforce Panhellenic rules. They play a critical role in fostering a positive, inclusive environment by maintaining neutrality, managing conflicts, and supporting PNMs through each phase of recruitment, including their transition after bid day.

Commitment Requirements: Availability for training sessions prior to recruitment, as scheduled by the Panhellenic Council. Full participation and availability throughout the recruitment period, including long hours and variable schedules. Willingness to adhere to the disaffiliation period, removing visible affiliations with your chapter until the end of recruitment.
